Last year, PETER GABRIEL celebrated the 25th anniversary of his iconic fifth album (and one of the best solo albums ever), So, with a special reissue.

'Courage', a previously unreleased track recorded during the original So sessions, made its way onto that release, though in the form of an unfinished demo.

Flash forward 12 months and GABRIEL’s revealed a completely revamped version of the song mixed by studio vet Tchad Blake (Tom Waits, Pearl Jam).

GABRIEL said of the new version:

“When So drew to a close I didn’t feel the song was delivering in the way I had hoped, so decided not to include it.

When we were reviewing all the material from that time, we wanted to take a fresh look at it and get it finished. I always liked the track and very much enjoyed the playing on it, especially the energy of the drums.”
