BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN has debuted at the top of the British Album chart with his new set High Hopes (album review).

It is SPRINGSTEEN's tenth number 1 in the U.K., moving him ahead of Michael Jackson, ABBA, Queen and David Bowie on the list of most chart toppers and tying him with U2 and the Rolling Stones. The Beatles had fifteen number 1’s followed by Madonna with twelve and Elvis Presley and Robbie Williams with eleven each.
