BEN HARPER and CHARLIE MUSSELWHITE Win BLUES GRAMMY
28 January 2014Get Up! by BEN HARPER with CHARLIE MUSSELWHITE has won the 2014 Grammy for Best Blues Album.

Get Up! was released in January 2013 after Harper and veteran Musselwhite collaborated on 15 tracks, 11 of which appeared on the standard LP.
They first worked together on John Lee Hooker’s 1998 album The Best Of Friends.
Musselwhite told Metro.us last year: “We really just locked in – even John Lee was saying, ‘Man, you guys sound so good together, you ought to do more.’ And we knew it too.
"We finally found the time and it was like the music was just waiting to happen It was real spontaneous and it happened real fast, – it was like it was already ready, just waiting for us to show up."
Harper won two Grammys in 2005 while Musselwhite has six previous nominations to his name.
