KISS’s PAUL STANLEY has revealed the cover of his autobiography Face The Music: A Life Exposed, due for publication in April via HarperOne.

And he insists the 432-page title is not going to be just another “love letter to the author”.

Stanley says: “I think I took a tack different than a lot of these books. Rock’n'roll autobiographies tend to be about how smart and creative and how this person was responsible for the creation of the world.

If that were the tack for the book, I never would have written it. My book is about my life starting from the very beginning, and a certain amount of adversity, having a birth defect and being deaf on one side, and the family I came from.

People have had more adversity in their lives, and some less, but I think some people will get a certain amount of inspiration and a sense that positivity and belief in yourself will ultimately lead you to a great place.”

KISS are gearing up for induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, also in April.

It’s still not known whether original members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss will be invited to take part, but Stanley last month said it appeared “unlikely”, despite the positive tones of recent comments.
