Exclusive: ROBBEN FORD trails new album
05 February 2014The Blues Magazine is proud to present a preview trailer for brand-new Robben Ford album A Day In Nashville – view it below.
In the exclusive clip Ford discusses the biographical inspiration for his track Ain’t Drinkin’ Beer No More.
The follow-up to 2013 album Bringing It Back Home was recorded in less than 24 hours, with assistance from guitarist Audley Freed (Black Crowes), keyboardist Ricky Peterson (David Sanborn), bassist Brian Allen (Jason Isbell), drummer Wes Little (Sting) and trombonist Barry Green (Tony Bennett).
Four-time Grammy nominee Ford describes the nine-track work as “a blues/R&B hybrid, with a tinge of jazz tossed into the sonic pot-pourri for good measure.”
