'Achy Breaky Heart' gets hip hop sequel
12 February 2014Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus has teamed up with Dionne Warwick's rapper son to revamp his 1992 hit Achy Breaky Heart for the hip-hop market.
Cyrus became an international sensation with his signature song and now, over 20 years later, he's hoping to find success with the catchy track all over again.
Achy Breaky 2, which mashes up country and hip-hop and samples the singer's iconic chorus, is a collaboration between Cyrus and Warwick's son Buck 22, real name Damon Elliot.
The tune even references the crooner's daughter, Miley Cyrus, and her penchant for 'twerking'.
A music video, in which features Cyrus and Buck 22 are abducted by scantily-clad female aliens, was released on Tuesday.
Cyrus and Buck 22 first met when the singer teamed up with Warwick last year to record a duet, titled Hope is Just Ahead, to benefit the Do The Write Thing National Campaign to Stop Violence initiative.
