Former BURZUM Leader VARG VIKERNES Says 'Lord Of Chaos' Film Should Be Boycotted

The following message has been posted on Varg Vikernes' (BURZUM) official web site:

"Varg Vikernes would like to state that a recently announced by the media film by Hans Fjellestad called 'Lords of Chaos' [more information] is using Varg's name and the whole story without any permission. This movie is obviously going to be another piece of lies and utterly silly prejudices. Boycott this film instead of discussing it and spreading news about it all over the net, in case you wish to support Varg. Stop the Hollywood-dregs!

"In other news, Varg will have to stay for two more years in prison, although this decision violates Norwegian constitution and European human rights convention. His parole is postponed to April 2008."

Vikernes, 33, was known as Count Grishnackh in the days of his one-man music project BURZUM. A neo-Nazi today, he subscribes to "heathen Odalism" and is the creator of the far-right All Germanic Heathen Front.

He was imprisoned for 21 years in 1993 for the murder of former friend Oystein Aarseth, also known as Euronymous, whom he stabbed 23 times. Aarseth was another leading member of the black metal scene that caught the imagination of the Norwegian press after a series of arson attacks on churches back in the '90s.
