DAVID CROSBY Has Heart Surgery
19 February 2014DAVID CROSBY(Crosby, Stills and Nash, The Byrds) announced on Monday that he had a heart procedure done on Valentine's Day which has forced him to postpone some of his upcoming tour dates.
CROSBYs official site says that he underwent a cardiac catheterization and angiogram, based on the results of a routine cardiac stress test at the urging of his doctor.
They report that his left anterior coronary artery was found to be 90% blocked, and two stents were placed to provide blood flow to his heart muscle and he is expected to have a full recovery.
As a result of the procedure and his need to recover he has been forced to postpone his upcoming shows in San Francisco, and Los Angeles until April and his shows in Chicago will be moved to July. However, the upcoming Crosby, Stills & Nash tour will be going ahead as planned.
"I am very glad that I listened to my doctors and my family. It seems I am once again a very lucky man," says DAVID CROSBY.
"I'm sorry to have to move the dates, but I promise the music will be good when we do play them."
