With Father’s Day around the corner, it’s going to be hard to top this gift: Ice Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson, Jr. will play a young O’Shea Jackson, Sr. in the long-in-the-works N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton, TheWrap reports.

The casting has yet to be confirmed by Universal Studios and it’s unclear if the film has received an official green light.

O’Shea Jr. comes to the film with no notable acting experience, but with a high endorsement from his father.

In an interview with The Guardian back in February, Ice Cube was frank about wanting his son to take on the role, saying his son reminds him of himself at that age.
