Benicio Del Toro looks to be on his moodiest method form as ruthless Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar in new thriller Paradise Lost.

Set against the backdrop of drug trafficking, and the warring cartels of Medellin, Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games) plays young surfer dude Nick.

On his travels to visit his brother in Colombia Nick loses himself in the idyll of lagoons and white beaches falling for a beautiful local girl called Maria (Claudia Traisac).

It all seems perfect until he meets her uncle, Pablo Escobar.

Andrea de Stefano's feature directorial debut, the film is released in France on November 5 but a UK date is yet to be confirmed.
