GREEN DAY drummer Tre Cool is making the most of the band’s current time off. Congrats are in order as the drummer got married over the weekend!

Cool posted a photo of himself and his lovely new bride Sara on his Instagram account, revealing the couple tied the knot on Saturday (Oct. 11).

In his post, he wrote, “I’m very happy to have married my best friend Sara on Saturday 10/11/14 Thanks for all the well wishes and support. #Sara #coolwedding #VintageTrouble #Flashback #honeymoontime.”

GREEN DAY  are taking some well-deserved time off after delivering three new albums in 2012 and supporting them over the past year-plus. During the downtime, frontman Billie Joe Armstrong rocked a secret show with his son in Oakland, joined The Replacements at Coachella and lent his vocals to a new song from Avicii.
