SMASHING PUMPKINS are back, as they’ve just unleashed the new song ‘Being Beige.’ The track is the first release in what promises to be a wealth of new material from the band over the coming year. The song is featured on the ‘Monuments to an Elegy’ disc, which is due to drop on Dec. 9.

Billy Corgan and his cohorts are currently working on ‘Day for Night,’ their follow-up to ‘Monuments to an Elegy’ which is expected in late 2015. The frontman reveals, “It literally is the other side of the sonic moon. At this early stage it appears to be a deeper work: less shiny, and more personal, which is always a quizzical thing to bring out in the open.”
