PINK FLOYD release new song ‘ALLONS-Y (1)’
04 November 2014PINK FLOYD have released another new song from their upcoming album, ‘The Endless River.’ The piece, a short instrumental called ‘Allons-y (1),’ gives fans a taste of the atmospherics surrounding what looks to be the band’s finale.
‘Allons-y (1)’ follows a sneak preview of ‘Louder Than Words,’ but actually seems to be a better representation of what ‘The Endless River’ holds in store, since ‘Louder’ is the project’s only track to feature lead vocals.
You can listen to the song, via Spotify, below.
‘The Endless River’ grew out of leftover material from PINK FLOYD’s last album, 1994′s ‘The Division Bell.’ It includes the last collaborative work with Richard Wright, the co-founding keyboardist who died of cancer in 2008. The album, due on Nov. 10, includes work by Wright from as far back as 1969. In all, he is credited with writing or co-writing 12 of the record’s songs.
