MIKE PORCARO has passed away at 59. The sad news was posted by brother STEVE on Facebook:

"Our brother Mike passed away peacefully in his sleep at 12:04 AM last night at home surrounded by his family. Rest in peace, my brother."

MIKE who was the bass player of TOTO but retired from touring in 2007 due to his diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

He is the middle brother of TOTO members Jeff Porcaro and Steve Porcaro. Their father is jazz drummer-percussionist Joe Porcaro.
