Hennemusic can eclusively report BLACK SABBATH will not be playing a farewell show at Ozzfest Japan this fall despite announcement by manager SHARON OSBOURNE.

"Despite previous reports," posted OZZY, "BLACK SABBATH wil not appear on this year's Ozzfest Japan, the show will instead feature the festival's nameskae, Ozzy Osbourne (and friends)."

The news follows a March 20 video announcement my Sharon indicating BLACK SABBATH would perform. At press time, no details have been provided by Sharon, Ozzy or the Black Sabbath camp to indicate why the gropu were removed from the lineup. Ozzfest Japan 2015 will take place November 21 and 22 at Mahkuhari Messe.

The first edition of the festival took place in 2013 with a lineup that included BLACK SABBATH, SLIPKNOT, TOOL, DEFTONES, SLASH, STONE SOUR and many others.
