Morrissey has been asked by influential composer Ennio Morricone to collaborate on one of his musical pieces.

Morricone is the man behind one of the string arrangements on Mozza’s latest long-player ‘Ringleader of the Tormentors’ and the pair are now eyeing up a performance at New York’s Carnegie Hall.

He told Morrissey fan site True To You: “For the immediate future I am excited to be asked by Morricone to sing and supply words for one of his musical pieces with a view to presenting this song at the Carnegie Hall. Joy, joy, joy.”

The composer had previously worked on ‘Dear God Please Help Me’ from the long-player.
