MY RUIN Frontwoman 'Seriously Injured' In Car Accident

Guitarist Mick Murphy of MY RUIN вЂ” boyfriend of the group's lead vocalist, Tairrie B. вЂ” has issued the following message:

"Tairrie was in a car accident last night [Thursday, Sept. 28] and her left arm was seriously injured. Considering the nature of the accident she is lucky to be alive. She had emergency surgery last night and is doing much better today. She is in good spirits and on strong pain medication and most importantly the doctors say she is going to be OK. Please send good vibes her way as she recovers from one hell of an injury and a literal brush with death.

"We have pushed recording [of new album] back a day (as we were supposed to start today) so we could be there for her and so I don't have to start tracking the band on no sleep with everyone stressed out."

MY RUIN is expected to spend most of the next two months in a Los Angeles studio recording the new album for an early 2007 release. The band's recent U.K. and West Coast dates were in support of their latest CD, "The Brutal Language".
