THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN begin work on first album in 17 years
01 October 2015Ever since reuniting in 2007, THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN have entertained the idea of a new studio album. Now, eight years, later, the band has finally entered the studio.
In an interview with Time Out New York, singer Jim Reid revealed that work has begun on the long-awaited follow-up to 1998’s Munki. “We actually just started recording. It’s early days, but I would say it’s a more mature sound for the Mary Chain. But let’s just wait and see.”
