Jack White is set to embark on his second side project in a year with "Aluminium", which is being described as an 'avant-garde orchestral project'.

With the success of his other band The Raconteurs still in full effect - including a support tour with Bob Dylan this winter - White has somehow found time to compose a series of works for release in November.

"Aluminium" is set for release on November 6th and will be limited to a run of 3,333 individually numbered CD's and 999 numbered albums. However the music will also be able to download, although specific details are still to be revealed.
It was recorded between August 2005 and February 2006 at Intimate Studios in Wapping (London), using a specially assembled orchestra comprising many of the UK's finest young classical musicians.

According to MTV, choreographer Wayne McGregor will use White's music for a new performance by the Royal Ballet in London.
