Amazing news to report from France; nearly five months after a terror attack on Paris’ Le Bataclan left 89 concertgoers dead, the venue has confirmed it will reopen in 2016.

Le Bataclan has been a staple of Parisian culture for over 150 years. Opened in 1865, Le Bataclan flourished for a century before becoming a legendary rock club. Beginning in the 1970s, Le Bataclan put on rock and metal shows from legendary acts like Metallica, Iron Maiden, Guns N’ Roses and the Ramones. That tradition was put to a tragic pause on Nov. 13, 2015 during an Eagles of Death Metal concert.

In February, those in charge at Le Bataclan shared their desire to reopen the venue before 2016 came to an end. That vision will become reality as early as Nov. 16, when Pete Doherty will perform at Le Bataclan. Three additional shows are also planned as of this posting.

Le Bataclan posted this message on Facebook:

The exact date of Le Bataclan’s reopening has not been confirmed, but stay tuned for that update once Le Bataclan releases that info.
