Rod Stewart says that he hasn’t written off the chances of reforming The Faces.

The singer says that he would consider reviving the Seventies group given the right circumstances.

He told American magazine blender: “I would reform them for the right reasons, maybe one big charity event.”

But he also expressed his doubts that the band would be able to keep up with contemporary acts, saying: “We haven't got enough material. We only used to play live for 45 minutes; people want two hours now.”

Rod continued: “Bono keeps telling me that I've got to start writing songs again, so I suppose that's the next one up. I haven't written for a long time, but I've started picking up the old acoustic guitar again.”

The Faces were formed in 1970 from the ashes of The Small Faces. The group also contained The Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood.
