GREEN DAY's BILLIE JOE Can't Handle Meeting JOAN JETT in 'Ordinary World' Trailer
12 October 2016BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG - THE GREEN DAY frontman is starring in Ordinary World, a film about a middle-aged punk singer figuring out life while his band is on a break.
The Tribeca Film Fest favorite (which hits theaters Oct. 14) just shared a new trailer, which features Armstrong trying to desperately, and failing, to make small talk with punk icon Joan Jett, and coming up far short of spectacular.
In the scene, Billie Joe asks Joan’s manager/his ex (played by Judy Greer) for an introduction, but the best he can muster (after a prolonged silence) is, “My mother-in-law's name is Joan." Mother-in-laws are never good conversation starters.
Ordinary World isn't the only major release on GREEN DAY’s radar right now. Last Friday (Oct. 7) they released their new studio album, Revolution Radio.
