Roadrunner Records’ group GOJIRA just garnered its first-ever Grammy nominations, earning nods for Best Metal Performance for the song 'Silvera' and Best Rock Album for acclaimed new LP 'Magma' at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards.

The band commented on the momentous occasion: “We are honored and excited to receive our first Grammy nominations for ‘Best Metal Performance’ and ‘Best Rock Album’ of 2016. We want to thank the Gojira fans around the world who have continued to help us achieve many firsts with 'Magma.' We couldn't be more proud and grateful.”

Earlier this year GOJIRA’s 'Magma' took the #1 spot on Billboard’s Hard Rock Albums chart marking the first time a French band held the #1 spot on the chart in its nine year existence.

This coming spring, GOJIRA is set to embark on a string of U.S. dates which are set to kick off May 4th at Nashville, Tennessee’s War Memorial Auditorium and will also see GOJIRA performing festival sets at Monster Energy’s Carolina Rebellion (May 5th) and Rock On The Range (May 19th-21st).
