QOTSA prepare to drop new song, JOSH HOMME gets hand surgery
11 April 2017As leader Josh Homme recovers from hand surgery, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE are hinting that a song from their upcoming new album will be available soon.
Additionally, the new full-length is said to not feature any guest spots.
QOTSA albums are known for their frequent cameos from performers like NIRVANA drummer/FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl and the SCREAMING TREES' Mark Lanegan. Apparently, the new QUEENS record will be guestless.
The anticipated QOTSA track is reportedly called 'Head Boy Machine' and should drop around the time of the band's Australia and New Zealand tour in July. (via Metal Injection)
In a new interview with News.com.au, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE singer-guitarist Homme spoke about his recent hand surgery. He revealed that this isn't the first time he's dealt with his hand issue.
"We have been hitting it hard when it comes to my body and it’s always 'We will deal with you later.' I had surgery on my wrist once before and four days later, I was on tour in Australia. My doctor called me a dipshit. I had a problem with my tendon, it was very difficult for me to flip the bird for a while."
