SPV Records has set an April 16 European release date for the new Annihilator album, simply entitled "Metal". The ten tracks on the CD were recorded by drummer Mike Mangini, vocalist Dave Padden, and the Canadian thrashers' mainman and ideologist Jeff Waters on guitar, bass and lead vocals for one number ("Operation Annihilation"). An army of renowned guest musicians, whose names Waters will reveal soon, also dropped in to be a part of this.

After "Metal" hits the stores, Annihilator will embark on a major European tour as Trivium's special guests, playing over 40 shows in Central and Western Europe.
