April 19 shall see the release of Patti Smith's cover versions album, simply entitled "Twelve". Among the 12 tracks recorded by the American punk icon are Tears For Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World", Stevie Wonder's "Pastime Paradise", Neil Young's "Helpless", plus songs by Nirvana, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, etc. The CD shall feature guest appearances by Television's Tom Verlaine, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea and The Black Crowes' Richard Robinson.

A month earlier, on March 12, Patti Smith shall be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, alongside REM, The Ronettes, Van Halen and Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five.
