Together for a short but memorable time - three studio albums, a classic live LP, and a couple of tours - the second coming of Black Sabbath began in 1979 when Ozzy Osbourne was replaced by Ronnie James Dio (former singer of Elf, later of Rainbow and Dio).

In late 2006 Dio, guitarist Tony Iommi and bass player Geezer Butlerr, joined by drummer Vinny Appice, reunited as Heaven & Hell to record three new songs for Rhino Records' collection "Black Sabbath: The Dio Years". It features a dozen classic studio recordings, plus one live track - "Children of the Sea" from 1982's "Live Evil". The compilation also contains the 3 new tracks - "The Devil Cried", "Shadow of the Wind" and "Ear in the Wall". The disc will be available April 3.

A month later, on May 1, a live CD entitled "Black Sabbath: Live at Hammersmith Odeon" will appear. It features Dio, Iommi, Butler and Appice jamming one December night in London during Black Sabbath's 1981 tour for "Mob Rules". The album will be available only at www.rhinohandmade.com as an individually numbered limited edition of 5,000 copies.
