Cemetery Asks CHRIS CORNELL Fans Not To Film At His Gravesite
03 January 2018According to The Pulse Of Radio, Vicky Cornell, the widow of late SOUNDGARDEN frontman Chris Cornell, was sent a letter by the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles where her husband is interred stating that fans aren't allowed to film video of their visits to the singer's grave.
Chris's management team tweeted a short time later: "We understand that some of Chris's fans wish to video their visits at Hollywood Forever, but we've had confirmation that it's against their policy. We'd like to thank everyone for their understanding."
The cemetery's letter underscored that the policy is in place to protect the privacy of other families whose loved ones are buried there, and that anyone who is stopped for filming "will be treated kindly."
The letter also notes that Chris's fans are "always respectful of his space and leave sweet gifts and notes," adding, "It is an honor to have your husband with us. We love that so many of his fans visit and spend the day here. Every time I pass his area, there is someone there visiting Chris. It is beautiful to see and reminds me how special and adored your husband is."
Chris Cornell committed suicide on May 18, 2017 at the age of 52, shortly after a concert with SOUNDGARDEN in Detroit.
