Strapping Young Lad mastermind Devin Townsend has changed the title of his next solo album to "Ziltoid the Omniscient" from the previously announced "The Mighty Masturbator".

The effort will reportedly be recorded completely by Devin alone, not using the services of his The Devin Townsend Band, and shall take care of the singing, guitar, bass, synthesizers and sampling duties, in addition to mixing and producing the CD on his own.

Devin has also stated that he is using the so-called "Drumkit from hell" developed by Meshuggah's drummer Tomas Haake and utilized on the Swedes' album "Catch Thirty-Three".
