BJORK Issues "Volta" in May

The Icelandic singer's upcoming studio album is entitled "Volta" and is due out onВ May 7. It will feature 10 tracks, written and produced by Bjork herself.
She recruited several notable collaborators to work on the CD, like producer Timbaland, Antony Hegarty of Antony & The Johnsons, African artists Toumani Diabate and Konono No. 1 (who won BBC's World Music Award last year), Min Xiao-Fen to play the pipa (a Chinese stringed instrument), as well as a 10-piece brass section composed of female Icelandic musicians.

Bjork will headline several festivals this year, including California's Coachella on April 27, and the Glastonbury on June 7.
