This year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions are set to take place on March 12 at a ceremony in the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York.

Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder (on the photo) will present the honour to R.E.M., The Rolling Stones' Keith Richards will induct The Ronettes, Jay-Z will honour Grandmaster Flash, Velvet Revolver are set to induct Van Halen, and Zach de la Rocha of Rage Against the Machine will present the award to Patti Smith. Ahmet Ertegun, founder of Atlantic Records, will be recognised posthumously, following his death at the end of last year.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is located in Cleveland, Ohio and began annually inducting artists and influential members of the music community in 1986.
