Green Day have announced they are to cover John Lennon's "Working Class Hero" for a tribute album of artists performing the late Beatle's songs, entitled "Instant Karma". The CD, due out on June 20, will also feature contributions from The Cure, Black Eyed Peas, Jack Johnson and Willie Nelson, a.o. All proceeds from the album will go to Amnesty International's campaign to end genocide in the Darfur region in Western Sudan.

Besides, Green Day are set to feature in the forthcoming Simpsons film "The Simpsons Movie", which will be released in the USA on July 27.
