As we informed you in mid-February, Chris Cornell is going to release his second solo album, "Carry On". Now the birthdate of the CD has been officially pushed from May 1 to June 5, but a brand-new song off the recording, entitled "No Such Thing", has already been posted on Chris' official homepage, www.chriscornell.com.

Besides, Reuters reported that the former Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog vocalist will be honoured for his efforts to help addicts with their recovery. The ceremony will take place in Hollywood on May 11.

Cornell, a recovering alcoholic himself, will receive the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award during the third annual MusiCares MAP Fund benefit concert. The fund provides members of the music community access to addiction recovery treatment, regardless of their financial situation.

During the ceremony Chris will perform a song or two. Other scheduled acts include David Gahan of Depeche Mode, blues guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Army of Anyone (feat. former members of Stone temple Pilots and Richard Patrick, ex-Filter).
