New Wave of British Heavy Metal veterans Blitzkrieg - the band remembered by many for the cover version Metallica did on their 1981 self-titled track, "Blitzkrieg" - have signed a deal with the German label Armageddon Music, managed by Sabina Classen of Holy Moses.

The band is just finishing their new album, "Theatre of the Damned", at the Absurd Studio in Hamburg, together with producers Schroedey (Temple of the Absurd) and Biff Byford (Saxon). The CD will be released on July 27.
