Tobias Sammet of Edguy revealed that the third album by his side-project Avantasia shall be called "The Scarecrow". The effort was recorded by producer Sascha Paeth on rhythm guitar, drummer Eric Singer (of Kiss and Alice Cooper fame) and Tobias himself on bass и самият Тобиас на баса.

The new Avantasia album will be a concept CD featuring different singers, but the story itself won't be a sequel to the first two releases - the two-part epic "The Metal Opera" issued in 2001 and 2002.
