The Russian fan club of the Finnish metal band Ensiferum has given the band a gift of astronomical proportions, as on their request the Russian International Star Catalogue has denominated a star in the Ursa Major constellation after them!

The star Ensiferum was denominated on March 19, 2007 by pilot-cosmonaut German Titov - a week before the release of the group's third album, "Victory Songs".
