YAKUZA Unleash Transmutations in Autumn
29 March 2007Chicago's sax-metal avantgardists Yakuza entered studio to begin recording their new album, "Transmutations", for a fall release via Prosthetic Records. The CD is being produced by Sanford Parker (Pelican, Minsk, Rwake), who made a guest appearance on the band's latest release, "Samsara".
"The tracking and mix is complete," frontman Bruce Lamont said of the progress of "Transmutations". "We had jazz percussionists Michael Zerang and Hamid Drake come in for a few songs. The tracks are varied as always, this will never change..."
