Bulgarian students to present 'HAIR' musical in five cities in April - INTERVIEW

Legendary American tribal love-rock musical 'HAIR' is set to be presented live in five Bulgarian cities through April.

The project is produced by the 'Broadway Performance Club' of the American University in Bulgaria (AUBG). The club has been providing the students with the opportunity to express their talents andr theatrical, musical and dancing for 12 years in a row now. 

Love, peace, justice, freedom, tolerance, happiness, liberation -- these opening lines of 'HAIR' sum up the spirit of the show that established the genre of “the rock musicals” – shares “Broadway Performance Club” 

The audience will have the chance to get acquainted with the story of a ‘tribe’, a group of politically active, long-haired hippies, who live in New York City and fight against conscription into the Vietnam War.  

 
 For more than 50 years, 'HAIR' has earned a world reputation for nit just been a musical but also a social and cultural phenomenon and a jubilant assertion of life and freedom.

“Broadway Performance Club” is entirely made of students who work hard on the project from the beginning of the school year until the premiere in April.
