SAINT VITUS To Release New, Self-Titled Album In May - stream first song

The godfathers of American doom metal SAINT VITUS will release their new, self-titled album on May 17 via Season Of Mist.

 The new track '12 Years In The Tomb' can be streamed below.
 
Formed in 1979, SAINT VITUS were largely influenced by BLACK SABBATH, whose song 'Saint Vitus Dance' obviously inspired the moniker. Since their debut album, 'Saint Vitus', came out in 1984, the Americans have released seven more full-lengths and two EPs that are summarily considered to be classics of their genre.
 
SAINT VITUS released a live album, 'Live Vol. 2', in September 2016 via Season Of Mist
 
Last fall, it was revealed that original SAINT VITUS bassist Mark Adams is suffering from Parkinson's disease.
 
He has been absent from some of SAINT VITUS's recent tours. Playing bass for the group has been former CROWBAR and current DOWN bassist Pat Bruders.
