San Francisco Bay Area thrash/death metal godfathers Possessed have revealed they'll be reuniting. So far the only confirmed live date of the band who gained cult status before disbanding in 1993 with their debut demo "Death Metal" (1984), the albums "Seven Churches" (1985) and "Beyond the Gates" (1986) and the EP "The Eyes of Horror" (1987), is at this year's edition of the German mega-festival Wacken Open Air, set to take place between August 2 and 4.

There's still no sure news whether Possessed shall resurrect in their classic line-up - Jeff Becerra (vocals and bass), Larry LaLonde (guitar; now a long-time member of Primus), Mike Torrao (guitar) and Mike Sus (drums), as the latter two retired from playing music after the band's split more than a decade ago.
