UNKLE Team Up with QOTSA Mainman for "War Stories"
24 April 2007The avantgarde electro duo UNKLE has teamed up with Queens of the Stone Age mainman Josh Homme for its third album, "War Stories", due out on July 9. Homme will sing on the track "Hold My Hand", which is also going to feature the vocal debut of UNKLE mastermind James Lavelle (on the photo).
This shall be the second cooperation of QOTSA's singer with UNKLE, after guesting on the project's former release, "Never, Never, Land" (2003), together with a.o. Ian Brown (ex-The Stone Roses) and Massive Attack's Robert Del Naja.
Obviously, the goal of James Lavelle and Richard File is the same now, with "War Stories", having in mind the impressive list of collaborators on the record - starting with producer Chris Goss (Masters of Reality, Goon Moon) and going on with guests such as Ian Astbury (The Cult, ex-Riders on the Storm), 3D (Massive Attack), The Duke Spirit and Autolux.
