This is the ALCEST week on radio TANGRA MEGA ROCK.

The French band has just released its sixth studio album 'Spiritual Instinct' - their first through Nuclear Blast. 

ALCEST was founded in the year 2000 by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Neige and later joined by drummer Winterhalter in 2009. Labeled as post metal/shoegaze or “blackgaze”, ALCEST were the pioneers within this genre, crafting a unique sound based on musical opposites from their very first EP “Le Secret”(2005), and thru their full-length releases “Souvenirs D'Un Autre Monde” (2007), “Écailles De Lune” (2010) and “Les Voyages De L'Ame” (2012). Aside from music genres, ALCEST, since its beginnings, is a conceptual project based on a personal spiritual experience portrayed by Neige in the otherworldly melodies and lyrics of the band.

In 2014 their fourth album “Shelter” was released, marking the band's departure from the more metal sound, in favor of dream-pop aesthetics, surprising and somewhat challenging their fan base. In retrospective, the album opened new doors for ALCEST, bringing them an audience from different horizons and a positive sense of unpredictability as musicians. Over the years, ALCEST influenced a lot of other artists and gained a significant popularity around the world, leading them to do numerous worldwide tours and appear on a variety of festivals.

ALCEST is set to bring the 'Spiritual Instinct' tour to Sofia-Bulgaria early next year. 

The show on 26 February 2020 at the *MIXTAPE 5* club is promoted by radio TANGRA MEGA ROCK.

ALCEST will bring two more bands - BIRDS IN ROW (France) and KAELAN MIKLA (Iceland).

TICKETS priced 40 BGN are already on sale through Eventim.bg and EpayGo.bg but will go up to 50 BGN on the day.
