The End Records have set an August 21 release date for the self-titled debut album by Kosmos - the new psycho-prog rock project by Voivod's drummer Michel "Away" Langevin.

Based in Montreal, Canada, the group's line-up is completed by guitarist Jetphil, bassist Vincent Peake and keyboarder Alex Crow.

The 12 tracks on "Kosmos" are described as "journeys through cosmic prog psychedelia, a spaceship built for fans of Hawkwind, Amon Duul II, Zombi and Monster Magnet". To check it out for yourselves, visit myspace.com/KosmosTheBand.
