WINDS Release Fourth Masterpiece in September

Norway's avantgarde super project Winds shall release its fourth full-length studio album, entitled "Prominence and Demise", on September 4 via The End Records.

The follow-up to the classical/progressive metal masterpiece "The Imaginary Direction of Time" (2004) was recorded by the quartet's main line-up - vocalist and bass player Lars Erik Si a.k.a. Eikind (also known for taking part in bads like Khold, Sensa Anima, Tulus, etc.), guitarist Carl August Tidemann (Arcturus, Fleurety, etc.), drummer Jan Axel von Blomberg a.k.a. Hellhammer (Mayhem, Mezzerschmitt, Arcturus, Fleurety,The Kovenant, Mysticum, Troll and many more), and keyboard wizard and Winds mastermind and founder Andy Winter (Age of Silence) - along with four prominent guests, namely bass player Øystein Moe (ex-Ulver) and singers Agnete Kirkevaag (Madder Mortem), Lars Nedland (Solefald, Age of Silence, Borknagar) and Dan Swanö (Edge of Sanity, Nightingale, ex-Bloodbath, etc.).

In addition, "Prominence and Demise" features work by Andre Orvik (violin), Vegard Johnsen (violin), Dorthe Dreier (viola) and Hans Josef Groh (cello).
