Metallica will play at the Live Earth concert in London at Wembley Stadium on July 7. The metal quartet shall share the stage with Beastie Boys, Bloc Party, Duran Duran, Foo Fighters, Genesis, Kasabian, Keane, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Snow Patrol, Spinal Tap, Razorlight, Madonna, Black Eyed Peas, Pussycat Dolls and many more.

The 24-hour Live Earth concert series will begin in Sydney, Australia on the same day - July 7, 2007 (07/07/07) and continue across all 7 continents with events in Tokyo (Japan), Shanghai (China), Istanbul (Turkey), Johannesburg (South Africa), London (United Kingdom), Hamburg (Germany), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and New York (USA).
