Foo Fighters have revealed some details about their sixth studio album, which shall most likely be entitled "Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace". Set for release in the beginning of the autumn, the CD is going to feature tracks like "Let It Die", "Erase Replace", "The Pretender", "Cheer Up Boys, Your Makeup Is Running", and "The Ballad of the Beaconsfield Miners" (featuring American guitarist Kaki King).

Regarding the last song mentioned, Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl (ex-Nirvana) has told Billboard that it was inspired by two Tasmanian miners who were trapped underground for two weeks. The guys had requested Foo Fighters' music to listen to during their ordeal, and were invited by Grohl to see the band play upon their rescue...

Foo Fighters play live tongiht at the Wembley Stadium in London at the climate change concert Live Earth.
