SLIPKNOT kick off 25th anniversary tour with material written before 1999 only
07 August 2024SLIPKNOT kicked off their 25th anniversary celebratory 'Here Comes The Pain' tour tonight, Tuesday, August 6th, in Noblesville, IN.
The show featured nothing but tracks released prior to 1999, some being performed for the first time in over two decades.
Vocalist Corey Taylor issued a statement prior to the show:
"I'm going to give you a brief warning, nothing you are about to hear tonight was written before 1999."
As you can see on the setlist posted below, the band performed their 1999 self-titled 2x platinum album, which included few tracks they haven't placed in quite some time. "Only One" was performed for the first time since 2012, "No Life" and the show's closer "Scissors" haven't been apart of the band's live set since 2000.
