After releasing their double live CD "The Roundhouse Tapes" a week ago via Peaceville Records, Sweden's metal avantgardists Opeth didn't waste their time at all, as it gets obvious from an update issued by frontman Mikael Akerfeldt:

"On October 28 at 9:20 a.m. my wife gave birth to our second daughter, Mirjam Ebba Maria Г…kerfeldt. She is so beautiful, just looking at her brings me to tears!

"On top of that, our next studio album is now written and the demos sound fantastic! We start recording it today, actually. I don't wanna say too much but... gee, it is so fucking good! If I may say so myself... Expected "delivery date" on this one is sometime in April/May 2008."
