Al Jourgensen's changed his mind: He's not retiring from making music after all.
That doesn't mean he's going to keep Ministry moving, though. He's just not stepping down from The Revolting Cocks as he originally planned. The industrial-rock veteran will stay the course with the band as it releases its upcoming Sex-O Olympico Feb. 13 from Jourgensen's 13th Planet records.
"Much like Menudo does or the Blue Man Group, I was going to hand the band over to this younger generation of RevCo's, to Sin (Quirin), Josh (Bradford) and Clayton (Worbeck), kind of franchise it out," he said in a statement. "I think that these three knuckleheads capture the true essence and spirit of being 'a Revolting Cock,' if you will. But, this album turned out so damned good, I think I'm going to stick around for a while."
