Simple Minds announce new album details
13 February 2009Simple Minds have announced details of their new album, to be released this May.
Called 'Graffiti Soul', the LP will hit the shelves on May 25.
As previously reported, the band are celebrating their 30th year together by playing classic album 'New Gold Dream' in full at Edinburgh Castle this July.
They are also currently in the process of finalising details of a world tour to support the new album.
Speaking of 'Graffiti Soul', frontman Jim Kerr said in a statement that the album features a "bold and energetic" collection of songs.
"Stylistically, this is a truly vibrant rock n' roll album that's bursting at the seams with quite possibly the most ballsy pop songs we have written in years," he continued.
The album was written on location in Rome, Sicily, Antwerp and Glasgow.
